Anti-Hazing Bill

So today, October 13, I was asked along with my friend, Alex, by our principal to represent McDevitt and attend a press conference for Representative Marsico. The press conference was about him introducing a new bill about extending the punishment for the current anti-hazing law to sports teams and high schools. He had others speak with him at the press conference, one man being, Bill Sanders, who gave my high school a talk before the press conference. Bill’s talk was so inspiring and taught all of us to really be ourselves and not care what others think and not to tolerate anymore bullying at Bishop McDevitt High School. After the press conference ended, Alex and myself were interviewed by a local TV station. Here is the article posted online about the press conference. I can definitely speak for Alex and myself saying that even though this was last minute, we are very blessed to speak on a very prominent issues in today’s society and represent our school.
